Why We Sing
As we gather together each Sunday and at other opportunities throughout the year, we have the privilege and responsibility to bring a unique expression of worship to God. Our corporate worship is a sacred time to employ the local body of Christ as a unified voice of praise. Therefore, a significant part of our corporate worship involves song. Music and songs are a gift from God that we in turn give back to him. They give us a mechanism to engage our whole selves (heart, mind, body, and soul) as we collectively give praise for who God is and what he has done for his people. God's truth is not to be encountered only through academic endeavor and study. It is to break into our lives as reality. We will use the artistic gifts that God brings to our church to express the truths of who he is as well as provide a platform for our congregation to respond in worship as he reveals himself to us.
