Melinda Reed
Melinda was born December 2, 1962 in Midland, TX. She married her high school sweetheart, Greg Reed, on October 30, 1982. Their son, Parker, was born in 1989. In 1990 they packed up and moved to Simi Valley, CA where God opened their eyes to a whole new world of ministry and opportunity. Their daughter, Brooke, was born in 1991.
After experiencing the fires, floods, riots and the earthquake of 1994, God moved them to the Seattle area which they now consider home after 16 years of enjoying the area.
Greg is an after-market salesman for Pace Material Handling in Kent and is a soccer referee in his spare time. He and Melinda led a small group together for 5 years but now lead separately. Melinda also loves being a part of the worship arts ministry.
Parker attends Corban College in Salem, OR where he is pursuing a degree in Education helping him obtain his goal to teach high school and coach soccer. He is a mid fielder for the Corban Warriors and absolutely loves the game.
Brooke attends Seattle Pacific University. She is pursuing a degree in Business with a minor in Spanish. She is an experienced soccer referee and also enjoys playing tennis.
The whole family is huge soccer fans and love attending Seattle Sounders games whenever they can.
Melinda has been in ministry for over 20 years, serving at several area churches and most recently as Worship / Community Ministry Director for the Puget Sound Baptist Association. Her passion is to see everyone grow spiritually and reach their full potential in Christ.
