Children's Pastor
Tara Mowreader
Tara Mowreader is the Children's Pastor (KidZone) at High Pointe.
Tara was born in Oxford, Mississippi and grew up as an “army brat,” moving all over the world with her family. She graduated from the University of Washington with a degree in Business Administration in 1994 and served in the Army for 6 years as a logistics officer.
Tara met her husband, Jack, while attending UW and they have three children, Baudilio, Ryan, and Ashley.
Tara and Jack have been attending High Pointe since it began in Kevin and Nancy Sullivan's living room in September of 1999. Tara and Jack lived across the street from the Sullivans and never imagined that having a “pastor from Texas” and his family as neighbors would lead to such incredible life change for their family.
Tara's desire is that every child and adult would know and experience God's unconditional and persistent love. She is passionate about reaching kids for Christ and her favorite verse is 1 John 3:18, “…let us not love with words or tongue but with actions and in truth.”
