Baptism

Baptism is a powerful declaration of faith, marking a new life in Christ and a public step of carrying the name of Jesus to the world.

Baptism?

What is

Baptism is a public celebration of new life—moving from death to life through faith in Jesus Christ. We believe baptism is one of the most powerful ways to carry the name of Jesus into the world and a first step of obedience as we follow His example.

Baptism does not make us a believer; it’s a declaration that a relationship with Jesus has already begun. Going under the water represents our old life being buried, and rising out of the water symbolizes new life—made alive in Christ and walking forward in faith.

Baptism

Bethany Cary

"I decided to get baptized because I wanted to take the next step in my faith and solidify my relationship with Jesus Christ.

The experience was deeply significant as it served as a public declaration that Jesus Christ is my Lord and Savior. It marked a major turning point in my faith, allowing me to look forward rather than backward and providing a sense of renewal.

Before giving my life to Jesus, I was a "fan." I believed in God but lacked the desire to explore further, living in sin and feeling content with what I thought was the best my life could be. Since being saved, I have become a "follower." I now seek daily to be more committed to Him, living for my Savior and striving to teach my children about God’s word so they may lead fulfilling lives centered in Christ."
